In 2013, Staffordshire University developed a new Science and Technology Centre. The university's graduate and double Olympic gold medallist, Andrew Triggs-Hodge, MBE was asked to reveal and attend the grand opening.
The Science and Technology Centre had a huge impact on creating a science-literate community and a qualified workforce to help grow the science-based industries within Staffordshire.
The centre houses all of the University's science teaching and research endeavours across forensics, environmental and biomedical sciences, as well as psychology and sports science and biomechanics.
We were assigned to provide the lecture theatre seating for this new project and were very proud to incorporate our popular Athena chair.
The Athena is our most popular design of lecture chair. It incorporates seat backs with a lumbar support and it can be fitted with the Probax posture control system.
Ideally suited to use on our structural tiering, this seat is the staple of many educational institutions.
