In a suburb of Melbourne, the Drum Theatre is the cultural crown of Dandenong. Opened in February 2006, the Drum Theatre is a 521-seat state-of-the-art, purpose-built performing arts theatre set within the spectacular architectural space and heritage façade of the old Dandenong Town Hall.
The theatre space comprises both stalls and a dress circle and is the perfect venue for theatre, music, school productions, conferences, dance school showcases and musical theatre shows. Its moderate size and fully raked seating create an intimate setting large enough to accommodate most events while giving every audience member an excellent view and optimal experience.
As part of the theatres long-term strategic plan, the refurbishment of the seating and auditorium aims to further grow their audience, open up new revenue streams and attract corporate and other partners.
Ferco were engaged by the Drum Theatre Committee to provide high-quality comfortable and attractive seating for their patrons.
The Primera Pacific seat ticked all of these boxes and were installed in box the stalls and the circle.
This popular theater seat, has ergonomically shaped cushioning on the back rest and a generously padded seat.
As a nod to the theatres iconic red interior, the seats were upholstered in a contemporary red patterned fabric.
The theatre hosts an annual programme of over 200 performances and with nearly 100,000 visitors a year, Ferco’s reputation for manufacturing quality and durable seating was an important consideration.
