The building has been let to leading games company Frontier Plc.
The building is the first in a series of new buildings to be delivered
Scott Brownrigg Project Director Jason Lebidineuse who led on the design said: “The buildings innovative design has been used as a catalyst for the development of this important science park, setting the standard for future development in the area.”
The building is a 65,000 sq ft three storey construction, positioned within careful landscaping over an innovative underground car park.
The atrium entrance area creates the illusion of a cathedral-like four-storey building. Access to the reception is reached at a half level between the undercroft and podium. This allows for a cascade of Ferco delivered bleacher seating between the levels.
Ferco designed and installed a fixed tiering system in accordance with the requirements of the architect and contractor.
The tiering is a double skin plywood topped on a steel frame with adjustable feet to facilitate fitting on uneven floor surfaces and minor changes in elevation.
The system has been regularly used for similar installations, including the Cineworld Multiplex in Gloucester and the Vue Cinema in Halifax.
All tiering steelwork conforms to British Standards with wood being responsibly sourced from certified suppliers.
