Les cinémas Gaumont Pathé company is a market leading Cinema chain, with operations in France, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium.

Formed in 2001, Les cinémas Gaumont Pathé was as a joint venture between the French film production and distribution companies Pathé and Gaumont.

As part of their upmarket strategy, Gaumont Pathé cinemas chose to install Ferco Premium Verona Lite Zero Wall seats in their Imax screens at Pathé Plan de Campagne, Marseille and Gaumont Labège, Toulouse. 

Facing the enormous screen, tiering creates space for luxurious armchair-like seats. In reality the room could have held more seats but the choice of the group, was to reduce the number of visitors to keep the projection of films on a human scale.

The result is that moviegoers will feel like they are coming to see a show. In addition, the seats, positioned closer to the screen will give the feeling of being truly immersed in the film.

The Verona Lite has a motorised backrest, which reclines into the space vacated by the seat moving forward, linked seats with a shared armrest, integrated cup holders and a luxurious aesthetic. The cinema chose to upholster their seats in a practical and stylish black leatherette.
