Venice Cinema Taoyuan can be found in the bustling business district of Zhongli Taiwan. It is spread across two buildings connected by an iconic, red-coloured pedestrian bridge reminiscent of those found in Venice itself.

This popular venue recently upgraded their multiplex cinema by adding five new screening halls, increasing the total number of auditoriums from ten to fifteen.

The new design upgrade was based on a Water Shadow Venice concept, using innovative projections and content management solutions to deliver an awe-inspiring visual within the multiplex. The spacious lobby featuring highly immersive waterfall projections that accentuate the buildings distinctive "aquatic" theme earned Venice Cinema the prestigious German Red Dot Design Award. This is one of four major international design competitions in the world for best global creative design.

Ferco Seating are proud to have played an important role within this award-winning concept by supplying and installing 269 Premium Opus Plus cinema seats throughout the new screening halls. These additional halls are equipped and designed with 8.5 meter screens, adorned in special colour schemes.

The Premium Opus Plus seat was chosen for its supreme comfort and was further customised with special colour-matched leatherette upholstery to compliment the design of each respective hall. Additional features like cup holders, rectangular seat numberings and square light row letterings were also incorporated into the build to enhance both the aesthetic of the seat, and the overall cinematic experience for the patrons.
